‘Take a journey of the self as reassuringly soothing sandalwood oil creates a sanctuary of calm in your bath. When you plunge this meditative fizzer into the water, slow mesmerising shades of oranges, purples and turquoise will unfurl. At the same time deeply relaxing olibanum and ho wood release, fragrancing your body and surroundings. It’s the ideal atmosphere to lie back and contemplate life.’

After the disappointing entertainment value of The Butter Bear so i thought i would next go for a bath bomb that promised colour, and a lot of it and the Yoga Bomb was just that. It fizzed and gradually introduced new colours like rainbow in my bath. Just what i was looking for. Being the mum of a toddler means it’s not easy to switch my brain off but not only did i drift off into my own little day-dream i actually fell asleep. I woke up feeling very relaxed to a lovely sweet smell. I will certainly be buying a Yoga Bomb for my next mothers day treat.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to kick back and just chill especially after a tough day. Treats like these are a must have to busy people to keep those stress levels in check.
Sadly since writting the above i can no longer find it on the UK site but i have included a link to the USA site 🙂
‘A gentle lavender bath bomb to relax children before bedtime. This is a bath bomb designed to look after young children’s delicate skin, and is so gentle it’s suitable for babies over six months. Its aromatherapy oils also work to soothe irritable cherubs before bedtime. Lavender is a calming aromatherapy oil, used in traditional medicine to treat skin irritations, sunburn and insect bites. ‘
I was so delighted to see that Lush had a bath bomb that was suitable for BabyBlu. I was told in store The bomb is suitable from 6 months old. BabyBlu was 16 months when we tested this out with her. She loves chucking things into the bath. At any time of the day or night. She’s a little like a ninja at times as we always keep the bathroom door closed but the second its left open of not quite shut she’s there chucking her bath toys in. So you can imagine her delight when mummy was giving her permission put something in the bath freely. The bomb is very simple itself and takes very little time to dissolve which is perfect for an impatient toddler. Personally i think my it would be better with some bubbles as once it was done it was done and it was business as normal. I didn’t notice much lavender coing through either which can get over powering sometimes so i was grateful for this. Sadly it didn’t much help her sleep either but with 4 teeth cutting at the time i am not going to say its calming effects didn’t work.
The Baby Bot only comes in one colour but i don’t think this matters in the long run. I think it is worth the money and brings a little excitement to bath time for you & your little one.
*****Beneficial, Simple, Butter*****
I was given the Butter Bear as part of a LushBomb mothers day gift. It was an item a friend had bought and not used, so if you are looking for this one online or in store you probably will not find it. Standing alone this bath bomb would have been great for regular use because of the buttery goodness your skin enjoys but other than it’s over all look, once it was in the water there wasn’t much entertainment value. Infact mine fizzed for 1 or 2 seconds and then sank and when you are following ‘Twilight’ it really was a bit of a switch. However after the bath my skin was feeling lovely and my mummy tummy certain felt the benefits so on that front, had it been still available in store i probally would have gone for it for this reason alone.
If you, like my friend have this one tucked away in your bathroom draw somewhere give it a go to help your skin. If your skin is free from stretches then maybe offer it up to a new mummy, like me who’s mummy tummy & strech-marks could benefit from it buttery goodness.
‘If sleep is evading you, this combination of essential oils will help get you ready for a good night’s rest. As Twilight dissolves, it turns from the colour of the setting sun and gets darker, turning your water a shimmering deep purple. The fragrance has been designed to help you sleep: lavender is a soothing, mind-clearing and calming fragrance, used in aromatherapy to treat insomnia and aid restful sleep, while benzoin and tonka call to mind a milky caramel malt drink.’
This is the most beautiful LushBomb so far. I must admit i was originally put off by the name & its association with a certain movie but putting that aside i must say It is most certainly my favorite to date. Watching the pretty blue & pink patterns forming is one thing but then when you look under the pretty foamy clouds that have formed you see the most beautiful, tranquil & sparkly purple night-sky in you bath tub. This is certainly the LushBomb for me & i felt this way before even getting into the water! Settling into my beautiful bath was just the icing on the cake, it smelt amazing & i just drifted off into my own little world, which for a mum of a toddler doesn’t happen that often. That night after the bath i slept better than i had slept in a long time. Just wonderful.
Once again you are left with a very glittery tub once the water has drained way, so make sure you wash it away before you tuck up in bed for the best sleep you’ll have in a long time!
I rave about this bomb and weeks later thinking about it makes me so happy. I will be popping in regular orders for this one i think! Obviously i would highly recommend this one, especially to people struggling with sleep issues, lovers of astronomy & the night sky & those among us who live for glitter.
‘Every good egg deserves, well, a golden egg of course. Shimmeringly sensual, this sweet wild orange and cocoa butter jewel is the only chocolate fix you should set your heart on. Indulge your skin in a super-softening, skin-loving soak that’s rich with luxurious butters, oils and lustre. ‘
‘The Golden Egg’ is an Easter special & it was one i was desperate to try as LuLu LushBomb has spent nearly every working day since they came out covered in glitter. Naturally i needed to know what the fuss was all about & after the lack of entertainment value of ‘Big Blue’ i was sure this one wouldn’t disappoint. There was a bit of a glitter explosion on plopping this one into the water and then it started rolling & rolling & rolling… It went on for ages! It turned out this was not a bad thing as I was later advised that this was because of the coca butter. Being a newish mum this was music to my ears as coca butter is great for ‘Mumtum’ & the stretch marks that come with it. I must say that after this my tummy felt amazing thus giving me a lot more confidence in myself. Yay, for coca butter. When i finally got in the bath It was again really lovely and i sat there just watching the water sparkle like i was sat in some magical pool. It was really lovely and smelt like chocolate, one of the biggest loves of my life. It was very well-timed too as it was the final hours of my DECHOX for The British Heart Foundation, a sponsored challenge where i gave up chocolate for a whole month. I raised £60 for the charity and it seemed quite a good reward for my efforts.
After the bath water had drained the tub was a covered in golden glitter. It was pretty easy to wash away though, but i would advise not to leave it too long as that stuff sticks like glue, just not as gloopy!
All in all i loved this LushBomb & i am a little sad it will not be around all year but i am sure there will be some fun and exciting glittery ones to look forwards to come christmas. So for now, i may have to make me a little golden egg nest and stock up to keep me going until the festivities begin!
I would certainly recommend this LushBomb/Egg to chocoholics like myself and also to those among us who love to sparkle! It is great for mums trying to help their post baby tummies or people who are losing weight to help with their skin and stretch marks.
Now, where to find a nest to help me stock up…
****Good for skin bomb****
*****Tranquil, Seaweed, Beneficial*****
“This calming bath bomb evokes a summer’s day at the seaside: perfect for drifting off. Big Blue’s key ingredient is a type of kelp called arame seaweed, which softens in your hot bath water. Arame is rich in vitamins and minerals including iodine, which helps to regulate the metabolism. Sea salt softens the skin, helping to remove dead skin cells, while lemon oil clears the mind and, like lavender oil, is antiseptic and cleansing.”
Following the beautiful ‘Think Pink’ LushBomb i was really excited about testing out my next LushBomb. ‘Big Blue’ was part of a mothers day gift from LuLu LushBomb herself! One thing i should have done, however is read up on the bomb as i was not expecting the seaweed! Think Pink was a confetti shower of pink hearts, Big Blue was spitting out shreds of seaweed and quite a rate. It was at this point i text LuLu Lushbomb to find the Big Blue pros. Apparently the sea salt and the seaweed were really good for dry skin and since having BabyBlu (my daughter) my knees and feet were a little more dry than i would like, so in i jumped. I was pleasantly surprised and quite liked lying back in the tranquil blue sea that was now my bath. It was so tranquil that i may have dozed off for at bit. After the bath it wasn’t much effort to remove the seaweed from the tub and i found that my dry knees and feet was soft and much smoother than before. It is because of these benefits that i will defiantly be getting Big Blue again. Sadly i lacked the entertainment value of Think Pink but i think in the long run i would rather a relaxing bath that is good for your skin than have a little but of surprise entertainment as the bomb fizzes away.
Since testing this bomb i have bought it as a gift for one of my male friends and i have recommended it for my partner who has quite dry skin due to his work. I think this is a good bomb for guys, especially ones who work with their hands. As far as i am a wear it is one of the only Lushbombs that has seaweed, so if you fancy a good skin pamper this is certainly the one to go for.
